Ian,
Thank you for taking to time to reply to this post.
The reason for mentioning your framework as well is to give our audience an overview of other options. We are not a 'one trick pony' and IT Professional should at least know of the type of frameworks that are out there.

The Art of Service specialises in education around IT Service Management, and granted - most of our programs are based around ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000. But that doesn't mean that these are the only options out there.

Regards,
Ivanka

Thanks for the reference to the USMBOK. I'm the author. Actually its designed to offer a universally applicable framework applicable to any service organization and details two main components: a service management system and the roles within a service organization.

If anyone is interested in understanding more about the USMBOK or has a service management related question - any question - my support system is available at no charge through end 2009. If you wish to purchase a copy of the usmbok enter GUIDE50 for a $50 discount.

Again thanks.

Hi Srinivas,

In most cases the exam is provided by us, we organise a supervisor for you (such as someone at your workplace) and book the exam in a a date of your convenience.

The program does cover all the topics, but you also are HIGHLY recommended to have the ITIL V3 suite of books. When running a classroom course of the V3 Managers Bridge we enforce this rule.

Cheers,

Tim

Hello,

How will the exam be administered? Can I go to an exam center and schedule per convenience, or are there specific dates?

Also, do I need additional classroom training, or will this material cover everything I need to know for the ITIL v3 Manager's Bridge?

Thanks.

A really interesting green computer technology I found is Userful Multiplier. It's where multiple people can use the same computer at the same time each with their own monitor, mouse and keyboard. This saves a lot of electricity and e-waste. A company called Userful recently set a virtualization world record by delivering over 350,000 virtual desktops to schools in Brazil. They have a free 2-user version for home use too. Check it out: http://www.userful.com

Hi Salel,

Once you have completed the online course you will be eligible to take the exam. You will need to have also already achieved your ITIL V3 Foundation or V2-V3 Foundation Bridge certification before starting the program.

Best regards,

Thanks very much for your feedback Brian - it's certainly true that sales training needs to address both the modern salesperson and the modern customer. The tricky part is juggling each of those with new technologies and within the current economic climate! Sales have become an art...

Hi,

Good podcast! I like how it draws a clear distinction between the "old ways" of selling versus the complexity of today. Selling has evolved, and a lot training out there doesn't address this. I appreciate your efforts.
